Recent Student Successes!

Soprano Teresa Brown will be singing excerpts from Tristan and Isolde in concerts with the Bakersfield Symphony, Roswell Symphony Orchestra and the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society in February and March, 2008. She recently starred as the Witch in "Hansel and Gretel" with Opera Santa Barbara. This follows her starring turn last season as Lady Macbeth in Verdi's opera "Macbeth" with the West Bay Opera in Palo Alto.


Mezzo-soprano and actor Zoey Levy scored a leading role an episode of the NBC series "The Medium" which is scheduled to air in January. She'll be on the season premiere (also featuring Anjelica Huston) and will sing two songs from "The Sound of Music." She will also be appearing in "Hair" at the Met Theater in Los Angeles. The original Broadway producer, Michael Butler, is producing this 40th anniversary season. The show opens Saturday, Sept. 8th. Yay, Zoey!!


Tenor Andreas Beckett starred as Florestan in the Celestial Opera's production of "Fidelio" this November in Pasadena. This follows his successes last season starring in "Charlotte: A Three-Color Opera" in Los Angeles, and as Tony in "Masterclass" in Santa Barbara.


Soprano Ciera Lamborn has been accepted into the Young Artists Program of Opera Santa Barbara for their Festival Season, beginning this February, where she will be the official understudy for the lead role of Nedda in Pagliacci. Ciera is currently a member of the chorus of the Los Angeles Opera.


Mezzo-soprano Sara Campbell sung the leading role of Hansel in the Opera Santa Barbara production of Hansel & Gretel. This was Sara's third role with Opera Santa Barbara. Sara continues her work as a member of chorus of the Los Angeles Opera.
